Any updates on the profit/baringer foreman area? This looks bad for the Jose Vargas family as we could have three houses--mom, little bro rent house, little bro family house, all with big water in them.

Praying for all of you folks. I'll be in town with clean up crews ASAP once we can get in there.

Anyone have a bead on Associate Drive? I have friends who evac'd from there but don't know if they got any water in.

I lived a block over. Use to be a community pool and clubhouse before BREC took it over.

Big question, is the water still rising?

Can you get into the front by chairman, and dividend, broker area?

I got an alum boat there, I have the keys, and if I can get to it I can help.

Same here Heartbreak Tiger. When i left my parents house on Barringer (across from the BREC Club)the water was even with the bottom window ledges, and still rising about 4 inches per hour at the time.

Hope your mom and family are ok.....

ETA: that was about 4 hours ago

GTFO if you haven't.

What Sugarmill are you talking about? The one in Highpoint? If so I live right there and just walked around and it's completely dry

My buddy lives exactly on the corner of profit and baringer and his house is at least 4 foot higher than the road or more and it's almost 2 foot deep inside his house. His house is at least 3 feet higher than everyone around him. His house backs up to the park.

Yes, my parents made it out ok. We raised everything we could as high as we could, and then brought all of the valuables, keep sakes, frozen food, etc to my house in prairieville.

Glad that everyone is good on your end.

LSUaFool, I know exactly which house you are talking about. We left the area around 2pm'ish, it must have continued to rise quite a bit after we left.

It is definitely heart breaking. Hang in there man, if you see a couple of guys in camo kayaks tomorrow, holler, and let me know if we can do anything to help...
