baldona, I get what you are saying and honestly had the same reservations when we were first planning this. I spent a few days in Rome many years ago without my better half, and this is a bucket list thing for us. I thought I would take a few minutes to share info on this trip just in case anyone else is looking for advice on travel to these areas. We ended up spending most of the week in Branson. Same here Heartbreak Tiger. When i left my parents house on Barringer (across from the BREC Club)the water was even with the bottom window ledges, and still rising about 4 inches per hour at the time. My parents have lived in Old Jefferson Subdv since 1976. They are on Baringer across from the BREC park. We didn't get water in the house in the big floods of 77 and/or 83.
