We live right on Round Oak (toward the front, thankfully) and last we checked (about 2 hours ago) the water was still about 1 ft shy of reaching the top of storm drain in our yard. Our neighbor showed me the one in their yard and the water was 4-6 inches from coming out of the top.
The water from the back was just about at Shady Arbor and looked like it had receded from being past SA toward Jefferson. Neighbor disputed this and said it had not gotten to Shady Arbor. He's a plumber & a long time resident. He thought we'd be fine since he'd been monitoring it all day. Thought it may not be be going down, but it wasn't rising

This is consistent with the water at the Jefferson Park subdivision. A couple streets in the back of the subdivision have been holding water all day, but it has been basically staying at the same level. This is all backup from Claycut Bayou which has been slowly cresting all day.

Thanks for that update. My sister lives a block from you on Kindletree. I'm sure it's going to be a long night of waiting and hoping. Not a lot of grade at all to the lots on her street from what I recall but like you they are towards front of neighborhood close to Old Jefferson Hwy. where the highest ground is.
I see even more rain is in the forecast the rest of the week but hopefully those river stage forecasts are right and the river goes down tomorrow and stays below this insane 500 year flood level.
