Thats correct.
This house was built and lived in by a business associate of my father, Francis Leo. They both passed away years ago.

Maybe so. I don't know that area to know if that price is reasonable. I do know that if I was looking for a house in the New Orleans area, and my house budget was $1.5 million, I certainly wouldn't be looking at houses in Metairie.

You do realize the most expensive neighborhood/property in the state (Metairie Club Gardens) is in Metairie, right?

...and you won’t get held up walking your dog at 11pm...and you only need to drive 30 seconds to get to 2 major arteries (Pontchartrain Expressway or Airline Hwy.) into Orleans Parish—via a straight 1/2 mile 2-lane road that passes between a cemetery and golf course (NOCC), or a small, 150’ canal bridge that passes in front of a neighborhood Porsche store (well, I call it the neighborhood Porsche store).

Actually a homeowner in that area was carjacked right at her front door just a couple weeks ago.

Fwiw.

I guess Shane Guidry's listing really helps out the neighborhood average.

I’d be surprised if Audubon Place wasn’t more expensive on average excluding the Guidry place.

There's no Guidry house in Audubon Place and all the house in AP are more expensive than $1.5mm

Just because you're asking $17mm for your house, that doesnt mean thats is what someone is willing to pay for it.

I believe what Fun Bunch meant to say was that he would be surprised if AP wasn’t more expensive on average than MCG, excluding Guidry’s house (in MCG).
