I have seen this trick on the OT

Park where the sun can beat down on the truck and pour dirt or salt around it.

Eventually it will get hot enough and the snake will slither out. The salt or dirt will let you know which way it went or if it is gone.

I agree, but worth the read

In high school my friend was driving and I was on the passenger. A snake crawl out from the hood on the wind shield while on the interstate. He yelled and frantically turned on the wipers and that sucker went flying.
