Pressure light came on 1/2 mile from home on my wife's Odyssey, she coasted on home.

I checked the oil and there was no discernible oil on the stick.

What the hell happened?

No signs of a leak, no signs of burning oil. I'll concede that I hadn't checked the oil in 2.5 months, but this vehicle has no history of needing oil. I've never had to add aside from oil changes. Could it really have lost 4qts?

196k miles.

Gonna add oil and see if the light goes off for transit to the shop.

I forgot I was in the O-T. I thought this was a topic about Aranda and A&M oil money

When this happens make sure the blinker fluid and the hood compressor are ok too.

This is why I’m against same sex marriages.

If there were a man living in the house we wouldn’t have bullshite threads like this.

After the engine cools check your radiator for signs of oil in it.

There's no reason to expect 4qts of oil to disappear that quickly

Could the drain plug have been put back in with a slow leak?

The muffler bearings are known to use up oil quickly

With this zero degree weather, it's hardly left the garage since Christmas - no oil on the floor

Did you wrap the engine the last few nights? It probably froze.

My truck takes 6 quarts and only needs to lose 1 quart to be off the dipstick. You might not have lost what you think you may have. 196k mikes, you’re probably burning oil if you don’t see any leaking around your oil pan, plug, filter, etc

how long ago was oil changed?

Sounds like either filter or pan nut was not tight

Have you checked engine bay to make sure you see no excessive oil leaks?

check radiator for signs of oil, blown head gasket can leak oil into coolant but have no other signs of leak.

she may also have just not put oil in it for a while or the last oil change place didnt fill it properly
