I won’t be in attendance this year but it’s always been a good time. I can def understand the people who don’t enjoy it. It’s steaming hot and packed with drunks.

Last time I did it was 2019, and I was hungover for like 3 days. Never ever ever again.

In all honesty, it's too crowded, too fricking hot, and I'm way too old for that shite.

First year I did this with friends was 2007. It was great. Wasn’t too crowded. Started at Ernst Cafe and it was a true bar crawl through the French quarter and back. Stopped at probably 10 bars and everyone that participated stayed at one bar until they blew the horn to start moving again. Ended back at Ernst Cafe with a plate lunch provided with registration fees.

2011-2012 started getting too crowded and out of control. It was pretty much a free-for-all drunk fest in the city.

After getting hammered at 10am and pissing in the electrical room at Bourbon Heat and passing outside their doors in 2015, I haven’t participated or missed it one bit.

Even when I was 23 and literally there I knew that shite sucked.

One of the most overrated events we have in Louisiana. Second only to offshore fishing.

It's scary how much we're alike, this is pretty much how I describe it. It's supposed to be a charity event, or at least used to be, but like 99% of the people there couldn't tell you what charity it was, nor did they donate a penny.

There’s a good chance we know each other.

It was pretty gay when I was there in the late 2000s, early 2010s, but I’m pretty sure it’s an actual gay, dude on sweaty dude event now.

You’d literally have to pay me like $10,000 to go right now like I used to go then.

Can’t wait to be body to body on Bourbon street with some John Ehret meat-head 2009 grad who’s 7 hurricanes deep. It’s also 117 degrees.

Isn't that most nights in a certain section of bourbon?

I know exactly zero people who've raised money or donated to the charity. It's always been strange to me. I don't think anyone even knows it's a charity run.

35 and fricking over it. So hot and so packed. Too old to be dancing around in a bar at bourbon.

Had fun at RDR 2010-2015
Got laid after 2011 RDR so that definitely added to the allure

But after a while somewhere it just became a sausage fest, I got older and don’t get smashed anymore, friend groups changed

And going to the swap and the beach and lafittes in the 100 degree heat at 11am and then waking up hungover at 5pm after laying $10 a drink all day and sweating my dick off doesn’t sound enjoyable to me in the least

A new reality show. Red Dress Run and Kirkpatrick driving Cash Cab taking out runners. I'd watch it.
