Officials searching for missing USC student in Peru (Update: found dead)

Happened to know him, was my sister's friend. Hopefully they can find him, but it doesn't look good tbh

Hope they find him alive. But he kinda broke a few cardinal rules...

1. Went to Peru.
2. Went hiking alone.
3. Went hiking alone IN Peru.

Peru is not an especially dangerous place anymore. I was there for 2 weeks in various parts of the country and never felt unsafe.

OP's link goes to update showing he was found dead. Article indicates hiking accident.

Peru is safer than many cities in the Southeast.
