Planets are alligning and dark elves that got their asses kicked 5000 years ago are getting ready to take over everything. It's the only explanation for the plane going missing.
Keep this here.
Keep this here.

Just because the ELT has not been picked up yet, doesn't mean it's not working. The ELT has a range in which it can be picked up, and that range is greatly diminished when it's underwater.

This link is the ELT that should be on the 777, upon impact it transmits a beacon on 120 MHz, and 406 MHz which are VHF and UHF radio frequencies. Radio waves at these frequencies do not travel through seawater

If this plane sunk the only beacon that could possibly be detected are the acoustic pingers from the data recorders (black boxes).

o, common sense guy again, the plane could of crashed, in sections for you weirdo's, and settled in a deep ravine of the ocean. If true, the beacons will be very hard to find
But wouldn't radar have known where the plane disappeared and at least we'd know where to search for the plane? Have we ever had a plane just disappear and nobody knows where to even look for it? I can understand not being able to find the planes body in a deep ocean, but nobody even knows what body of water to search.

0% odds of a good old fashioned incidental plane crash?

Not 0%, but a triple 7, with no crew reporting, no mayday and just (allegedly) drops from tracking at cruising altitude?
Maybe it crashed, but it was anything but "old-fashioned" and incidental - something else had to be going wrong, just statistically.

The South China Sea, which would've been the route our missing plane took, can reach depths of +16,000 feet. Just going to leave that here.

No they wouldn't.

If the plane crashed they would know exactly where it crashed.
Or maybe I'm misunderstanding what you are saying.

I have conceded that there are other very remote possibilities, but it is conspiracy theory/fantasy land to consider them reasonable.
I have this weird hope it will show up in Greenland with passergers and crew, and no one knows what happened for the previous week ala Twilight Zone.
Realistically, it crashed, will be found. Looking for a wreckage in large uninhabited locations is much more difficult than people think. Some crashes of relatively large planes (not quite 777 status) have disappeared for months.

What's the deal with this picture? Why does the bottom half of the left guy look like an exact copy of the guy on the right?
Because it is a copy. It's shopped.

What is going on here? Where did you see that picture?

the redundant systems allow the crew to respond and report.
My bet is that someone snuck an EMP on and set it off. Boom, zero electronics.

Then that plane is one fuel efficient mofo.
could have taken all the phones away from passengers, landed on an airstrip somewhere and is holding them hostage.
idk

things we know:
1. a plane took off
2. plane disappeared
3. we can't find the plane now
there is no evidence of a plane crash.
I hate to burst your bubble, but all three of those things are "evidence" that it crashed.
That doesn't mean that those three things MEAN THAT IS WHAT HAPPENED, but all point toward a crash as a very reasonable assumption.
That post doesn't have the affect you thought it would.

How many jungle air strips you think there are in the area that can accommodate a 777? You don't think all those have been checked already?

Can I get the current odds on Q9 since that is where it is? Just want to estimate my winnings.

No they wouldn't. Especially if the beacon/emergency shite malfunctioned. All they would know is where they lost contact with it (which is a good place to start, but doesn't do much).
