Emergency beacons/transponders didn't activate.

Are those all dependent on a plane's power supply?

They build IEDs... we arent discussing the possibility of Iran hijacking this plane, or are we?

Me too. If the plane completely dissolved mid-air, the only thing left will be small items from the plane, that will wash up on shore lines over the next few months.

An airplane has never completely dissolved in midair. They always come down in chunks. Even Lockerbie, at 35,000', came down in large sections. TWA 800 came down in sections. They do not just disintegrate.

This. My guess is a hijacking with a mid air explosion.

The only thing that doesn't make sense is the lack of an emergency signal beacon from the plane. A mid air explosion wouldn't disable the beacon, I don't think.

what do you mean nope?

I assume he meant that you said evidence is tangible, and that's not true.

BTW, this is the first I am hearing of this, and I am hooked. I'm so glad this didn't happen two weeks ago before my flights...would've freaked me the frick out even more when I flew. God, I hate flying.

I have no clue. Why is that relevant to anything?

We have a copilot that loved opening the cockpit and 2 fake passports of passengers on this flight.

Do you people just ignore previous midair explosions? Planes don't disintegrate. There would be a shite load of debris.

My guess is they hijacked it and landed in Dr. Evil's secret volcano lair

also - the shipping channels and pirates - I mean there is a lot of activity in the water in these parts

You would think someone would have seen/found something

As for the cell phone thing, it is rather interesting:

quote:

Frustrated relatives of some of the passengers on the flight claim that they have been able to call the cellphones of the missing travelers, but no one has picked up. Hugh Dunleavy, the commercial director at Malaysia Airlines, also said the airline heard ringing tones when it tried to call the crew members, the Straits Times report

This would all cause traceable signals IF these phones were operating......

When fully loaded, jet fuel accounts for ~25% of the planes weight

And then you burn at least 20% of that on take off, and planes aren't topped off depending on how far they are going. And this didn't happen right after take off.

Should I keep going?

That plane is in thousands of pieces in a jungle far from where anyone would have seen it go down.
That's my lame brain theory.

Dude, situations like this doesn't remove people's common sense, it brings out people that have no common sense.

Just because the ELT has not been picked up yet, doesn't mean it's not working. The ELT has a range in which it can be picked up, and that range is greatly diminished when it's underwater.

You don't have a clue what evidence is. My opinion that the plane has almost certainly crashed is supported by the evidence of what we know about planes, the aviation industry and what we know about this particular plane.

Aren't you a lawyer? Not a very good one in this particular case.
