I can't wait til they find the black boxes. I am guessing all the radar imagery would be recorded and they know if the turn was made to the east or west?

I've been thinking this is what happened all along. Terrorism, my friends.

It could have flown to any middle eastern country with that much fuel. It could also be sitting in a hangar somewhere in the Middle East.

now that the identity of the two mystery passengers has been made, Interpol says LESS likely terrorism.
Sorry, but I never quickly will discount Iranians as not possible terrorists. I knew as soon as it was reported that the Austrian passports were stolen, it would turn up to be Iranians who were using them.

Iranians have no beef with anybody in that part of the world, AFAIK.

This fricker could be in India. Or Australia, for all we know. Maybe all the passengers decided to take a private vacation somewhere, not to be bothered by any friends, family, business associates. The ultimate getaway!
What a major clusterfrick. Losing a plane in the 21st century. . . Someone should write a book.
ETA: I'm sure someone will.

Not terrorism. Just an Iranian who deals stolen passports to illegal immigrants.
It looks like one of the stolen passport guys was trying to get to Germany and his mother was waiting for him at the airport.

Not on a civilian ATC radar.
ATC radar wouldn't have been the only active civilian radar in the area.

Nothing changes this point.
So are you saying that the P-3 can find any debris automatically.
Actually...plane debris of virtually any size is easily spotted from the air. There was an interview with one of the people searching for Flight 370 a couple days ago who claimed a piece of debris as small as a human hand could be easily spotted floating in the sea from the air.

Huh? They can't find the black box until after they figure which way it turned, correct? So I guess I'm not sure what you are trying to say but finding the black box is impossible without know where the wreckage is...
btw..I heard the black boxes are only good for somewhere around 30 days in deep water.

Do we have updated odds??

Why would she be at the airport waiting in Germany? This flight was going to china first...then probably a long layover, and then long flight to Germany.

She went to the airport in Germany to try and get info when she heard the plane he was on was missing.

That's the brilliance of it.

Gotcha. So she wasn't waiting for him to arrive.

quote:China, then Amsterdam, then Germany, I believe. Maybe she was waiting at the airport by the time the missing plane was finally reported? Which would've been many hours after the plane actually went missing. Just guessing.

ETA: Nevermind. Asked and answered.

Misread the article. Either way, a mother of the mystery passenger was in Germany awaiting his arrival. When he never showed, she contacted authorities.
