Well, if you want to crash the plane where you don't want it to be found...this would be the perfect spot.
Malaysia is lying about what happened. I'm not a big conspiracy person but it's freaking obvious we have been fed disinformation since the beginning.

KR? That SEAL Team SIX is just a bunch of Bin Laden conspiracy nuts.
Please don't hijack this thread nonsense. Tell me which thread or start a thread on Pakistan /Bin Laden/777 landing stealthily in Pakistan air space & I'll go there.
Pakistan tracked down , captured & turned over the man who planned ,executed 9/11(Khalid Sheik Muhammad ).
Let's get back to discussing Flight 370 & the 240 lives lost please?

I mean, until they find evidence, I have no problem with them stopping flying. The risk of millions other can only get higher since they don't know what happened and how to prevent, not to mention if it does happen again they don't get satellite images until 3-4 days later. But then again, the crave for money will most likely throw that out of the window real quick.

I've wondered about this. If it had in fact been shot down, nobody would want to admit it and they probably would do whatever necessary to cover it up.
There would be debris everywhere wouldnt it? Big fireball in the sky...another passing plane or ship would have seen something. Thats why I dont believe it was shot down

very, very sad.. hopefully cnn can now stop trying to make the pilot a suicidal villan, or a terrorist, and looking for terrorists on the plane. something terrible happened on board and the pilots weren't able to overcome it. zombie flight.

Obviously I am crazy to think this but in the face of Malaysia probably as credible

so what are the odds that we find out the legitimate reason that a plane heading to Bejing, ends up near Australia in the Indian Ocean?

This plane was shot down. I've always felt the plane never went the 7 hours as stated by Malaysia's government. I believe this entire story has been made up.
To what end?

I think you're giving the Malaysians too much credit

When merican Airlines flight 191 crashed after takeoff from Chicago in 1979, every DC 10 in the country was grounded until further notice

oxygen masks didn't deploy
except that in the event of a fire, first item on the pilots checklist is to don their gas masks, which are put on their head, they don't deploy like the ones in the back.
Nor do the ones the stewards wear.

Y'all remember in LOST that Widmore placed a fake Oceanic 815 in the bottom of the Pacific to get the media to STFU...
Just FYI. Great show.

Is it possible for the black box to be removed when not involved in a crash? Mean hell, CNN pretty much showed where it is and how to remove it
. Could set up the future for 777's in a bad way

There's no solid evidence to confirm or rule out much. So people are going to speculate.

So what do you guys think they will do to prevent another event like this? Is there really anything they can do?
well it depends what caused it.
If it was pilot suicide, it's hard to stop that. Even with cameras and computer control.
If it was catastrophic failure, then they need to find out what caused the failure, and why it knocked out the pilots, who have their own O2 supply.

Another question... did they end the search because of the depths of the Indian Ocean and because no one really knows what's down there? No one in their right minds would go down there to search for some bodies right? Pressure too high and not to mention the different types of fishery down there. I'd imagine all types of sharks possibly rays... Then you have the weather in effect as well.

What would the effect of pressure that high be on the human body? Would there be any bodies left?

The search isn't ending. Why would they end the search after confirming the relative location of the plane?
If anything, it's only intensifying.

1:100 I would say.
Obviously now the US knew more about this whole thing than they released. Seeing how they moved operations to Australia a week ago.
I guess it could be an accident in the plane. But reports were it flew low. You don't need oxygen or cabin pressurization to live below 20k feet. The rule is 14,000 but anything below 20k and you can breathe.
So The hypoxia thing is out the window if it flew low.
Honest answer no one in this thread knows, and we are all guessing.
