This image of possible distance is inaccurate. The Curvature of the Earth isn't accounted for, it was done with a simple one dimensional radius. A proper distance radius would look oblong, wider around the equator and narrower the further north and south. This should be an oval shape at worst, not a true circle.
I believe that's what nautical miles means so it should still be accurate. That's without checking so I could be wrong.

I think some people put way too much faith in our military capabilities.
Dont get me wrong.
Best defense in the world.
Terrorist attacks happen. Technology was much different in 2001, but we had "the jets to F up something suspicious" and even they were given multiple orders and got confused on 9/11.
Its 2014 and with all our technological advances, a commercial plane with 200 plus people vanished. Things happen.
What if they wait 2 years and put this plane back up into the sky, shadow it again under another plane toward the target and boom.
I think its crashed in the ocean, but small chance its landed somewhere.

The idea that someone would turn off everything, go through complicated evasive maneuvers so they could ditch the plane deep in the Indian Ocean makes no sense. BBC reporter tweeting earlier Malaysian officials told him they privately think plane landed in western china (pinged in the arc) but won't say anything till confirmed. Think it's Uighur related. Had to fly low and slow to get there. I will find link.

Cnn just broke a breaking new video. It was the pilot and co pilot walking through the security scanner before getting on the plane!!! It was intense.
What a joke

That's the problem - nobody knows anything.
Something else newsworthy will happen, and this will be forgotten.
It's reached the point of stagnation.

At least we realistically know the plane was hijacked now, based on the evidence.

If they got this thing to China, it's a major embarassment to alot of countries, including the Chinese. It would prove they don't have nearly the control of their own territory everyone thinks they have.

I'm interested in learning why the Malaysians think the plane is there. How did they find out?

Malaysia Airlines pilot's 'Democracy is Dead' T-shirt fuels talk that he hijacked the flight
So this whole thing is possibly a political protest?...or are they trying to frame the pilot to cover up bigger plot regarding what actually happened to that plane? Personally, I think them playing this angle is kind of shady. For some reason, I just dont think the pilots are as involved as some want to make them. There is something way bigger going on

All you losers spending all this time on a plane crash.
I scoff at you.
I'm GOING TO BED.
That way I can wake up, it will be like no time has passed, and I can turn on CNN and watch 16 more hours of coverage.

are posts from day 2 magically reappearing? This thread might have warped the time continuum and brought us to when Boeing 737's were valuable.
