What about using the plane several months later loaded with dirty nuclear material headed for a major city in range. Once the hype of this news story goes away, terrorists hit a major city with a dirty nuke.
...why go through the trouble of hijacking a commercial flight to do this?

And the thing is, as mentioned by one of the news channel's guests, there's precedent that it can be done. A plane was hijacked and flown from Israel to Uganda undetected by any radar and led to Operation Entebbe
Granted it was in the 70's but still. Anything is possible right now...

It would be a statement. A slap in the face to the intel community of the west.
Correct....and if they were able to kill 100,000 or more people in a city, it would be a jihadist's dream. The only reason to take a 777 would be to use it as a delivery system for a major attack.

Why would anyone want to steal an airliner? Makes no sense if they're trying to be covert.
Lots of relatively cheap stuff here for one time use...and already in the area.

Here's my theory of why I think this plane was hijacked or commandeered by one of the two original pilots who turned rogue:
The fact that the plane stopped communicating with ground control right after leaving Malaysian air space and just before Vietnam took over about 40 minutes into the flight is too big a red flag. Either one of the pilots had planned for this to happen right around that time or the hijackers took control of the plane as soon as it took off and then held the pilot's hostage and told them to act normal until they transition out of Malaysian ATC's range. At the exact moment the pilot said "Good night" to Malaysia's ATC, the plan went into full swing, beginning with "Turn the plane around towards this new destination".

Not possible with this plane

Why not? It's a big to most government's airline safety practices. Basically Al Qaeda saying "what now bitch?"
Does Al Qaeda give a shite about the Malaysian equivalent of the TSA? Reuters claims that Al Qaeda is operating a network of 727 aircraft. If some manifestation of Al Qaeda had the ability (or desire, for that matter) to pack a dirty bomb onto an aircraft, why hasn't it been done on any scale with aircraft that they already possess?

Has this been brought up?
BOEING warned of computer takeover of 777
I'm not sure what it all means.

Al Qaeda is patient. It took over 10 years for them to plan and execute 9/11. Maybe they're waiting for "the right time" whatever that is...

yes.
every theory and press release has been either debunked or confirmed by the OT.

Soooo....the only reason it would be stolen is for a weapons delivery system. What kind of weapon could be delivered by a 777 that couldn't be delivered by a 737. And I know the size difference, but the 737 stripped down can carry a LOT of weight.

CNN has a guy in a flight simulator and another man talking about the depressurizing of the cabin. I just learned that those silly masks only have about 15 minutes worth of oxygen. And the crew has walking masks that can last about 45 minutes. The pilot/copilot's can last as long as needed.
The flight simulator tried to demonstrate what would happen if you tried to take a 777 to 45,000ft and all the alarms started going off. Same thing happened when he tried to demonstrate a sharp turn and when he tried to show the plane descending from 45,000 down to 29,000 the plane went berzerk and he said at this point shite would be falling off the plan.

Thanks. I changed the channel to CNN to check it out.

yea, turn it on there. This John Nance guy knows his shite. They will show the simulator guy in a minute to demonstrate how impossible it is to perform what the pings say happened. It makes me want to throw up.

How is it known what altitude this plane fluctuated at, yet don't know its location?
I think we're just filling up 24 hours worth of banter about a missing plane.

ok, so I have been in a private jet, flying at 49k with no mask needed. Are private jets built to better withstand the higher altitudes?
Most of the business jets have a service ceiling of 51,000 feet.

I believe this is moving towards either an international terror plot or a pilot with a mental disorder. Flying the plane by yourself while disassembling communications seems like a tough job for one person.
