Unless.............All phones ect. were confiscated by whoever hijacked the plane
*** I still think the plane will be found at the bottom of the ocean ***
But if it was truly an orchestrated hijacking including the pilot(s)
1) Likely wouldn't have Cell Service where the turn took place
2) Possibility of jamming devices
3) Confiscation of all devices (Prior to flying over populated area where service could come into play)

At least they are giving it proper coverage. Turn over to Fox News and see what you get
frick this story running 24/7 on Fox. There are way way way more important issues at hand right here in America. Fox reports when something resembling facts are reported. They don't sit their all day and base their ratings on wild speculation.
CNN has to do that, it has no other ratings.
I know we are all very interested and intrigued, but this has very little bearing on America or it's security. we don't turn off radars and we won't be attacked by some fricking 777 that sneaks into our airspace

Couldn't they go in and look what he was training on in his simulator. It might hold key evidence

Cell Phones don't work at 30,000 feet 200 miles from the closest cell tower. They just don't work without a signal from a tower and the signals can only travel so far.
Now a satellite phone is a different story but those are much more rare and expensive so I would bet nobody on this flight had one on and with them at the time.

this has *ALWAYS* confused me with regards to 911 and all the passengers calling from that plane that crashed in pennsylvania.
how the hell did so many people on that flight have working cell phones? i've never had a signal with any cell phone when i'm 30,000 ft in the air.

Here's the CNN article on the pilots
And the youtube video
(Not sure if the link works because it's blocked here at work. But it's linked in that CNN article.)

Yeah this would make sense to me. Hell, I'm sure in the U.S. we'd have probable cause and the ability to get a warrant at this point. I'm sure in Malaysia they'd be able to raid the shite out of it.

You've actually hit on something but the 9/11 planes probably weren't at 30K feet BUT they were traveling in excess of 300 mph which does question those cell phone calls. But this should be for another thread.

There were only two cell phone calls placed from that flight, and both were when the aircraft was at an altitude of under 5,000 feet.

I was reading the comments on the wall of most of the videos and people are saying he was a good guy and probably wouldnt be suspected of being part of something of the hijacking nature...

Which what we already know.

CNN just said that as soon as the transponder was turned off, the ground/airport would immediately know it because of the lack of their signal.
Upon the loss of the signal, the ground would immediately be contacting the plane by various frequencies.
So why the hell wasnt the airport trying to contact the plane when it was turned off ??

majority of people getting on a flight would post something about their experience while waiting in the airport ect..
why would they post about their experience while in the airport?? they didn't know something was going to happen before they boarded the plane...

Also if they were in the air or landed somewhere they would have posted something....
this planed didn't have wifi, so posting from air was not an option. Plus, I'm pretty sure if this was an organized hijacking and they landed, either A) all cell phones were confiscated or B) there is no one living to post on social media.

I really think this could have been an organized high jacking with multiple factions involved.

You do realize that the speed of light is much faster than 300mph right?
