pilots disable the cell phones in mid air
land the plane, pull into a hangar
get off the plane
close the doors
gas everyone inside
?
Unless they are interrogating them, brainwashing them into super soldiers, or selling them into the sex trade - I would imagine they'd be gassed/shot something by now. No ransom demands ever came.
Unless of course with are dealing with a "4400" or "LOST" scenario here
IF the plane landed, no reason to assume passengers lived at this point unfortunately.

At this rate, we'll discover some death cult that has been operating for a thousand years. They first started hijacking sailing vessels, then steam engines, and in the modern era, airplanes.
Many of these craft that have gone missing can be attributed to them. Dan Brown can write a book about it.

Don't think it would. It appears they want this to be hidden..

I think they could build the Vatican in the capital of Malaysia with Vegas signs lit up all around saying "THE HIJACKERS FOUND HERE" and they'd be safe at this point

I will highly anticipate the next season of Ancient Aliens.

Ya, someone is writing a book right now to try to make a ton of money banking on them never finding it.
Money to be made with a good story.

More information from the WSJ:
LINK
quote:
The investigators believe the plane flew for a total of up to five hours, according to these people, based on analysis of signals sent by the Boeing 777's satellite-communication link designed to automatically transmit the status of certain onboard systems to the ground.
Throughout the roughly four hours after the jet dropped from civilian radar screens, these people said, the link operated in a kind of standby mode and sought to establish contact with a satellite or satellites. These transmissions did not include data, they said, but the periodic contacts indicate to investigators that the plane was still intact and believed to be flying.
Investigators are still working to fully understand the information, according to one person briefed on the matter. The transmissions, this person said, were comparable to the plane "saying I'm here, I'm ready to send data."
Investigators are trying to determine, among other things, whether the plane may have landed in an unknown location at some point during the period under scrutiny, these people said.

is not finding the plane a real scenario though?
Posted on 3/13/14 at 3:12 pm to theunknownknight
You are forgetting something...the US is involved now and we don't play...although I have to think we have been involved since day one

So basically, the info is comparable to Sputnik it sounds like.
Just sending a "ping" that establishes that its operating, but you get no coordinates, speed, or anything really useful after that.
Bummer.

There was a plane that was stolen 10 years ago in Angola by a worker that was never found. Plane never found nor the person who stole it.

Serious question or no?
If serious, I'd say it's definitely a real scenario. The USS Cyclops has never been located. Not a single plane from flight 19 was ever found.

Check my post out on page 150, the top 10 airline disasters. many of those planes were never found, and they just gave up on searching.
