CNN Breaking News is..............22 unanswered questions about the missing plane.......

They took that plane to Fantasy Island. We'll get confirmation from this guy soon.

Cable news network are just horrible with their "breaking news". Fox had "breaking news" on Hannity's show about something that had been on their own network 4 or 5 hours earlier. It's just ridiculous.

botched hijacking.
that seems like a reasonable theory... i'm sticking with mechanical failure/pilot error combo, but this makes sense... might explain why there was no distress call, and why it's not anywhere on course.

at this point, there needs to be another thread started i think, delete this one, and sticky the new one with info

i think a botched hijacking is less likely since there was no distress call

The botch wouldn't be getting control of the plane, it would be the crashing part after/not reaching the planned objective

still think if there was an attempt to hijack the pilots would have sent a distress call...the only thing that makes me feel this could be possible is that one of the pilots had a simulator at his house and they could have practiced the route...flying low, turning off the transponder...etc

Well, I think the landing on a runway theory requires a pilot to be in on the plot and fully cooperative. You can't just tell a pilot to find some mystery runway from the air.
If a hijacking occurred without any warning and the transponder got turned off, that would be an amazingly successful hijacking of a plane.
The "botch" would come after. You have full control of a plane no one knows where it's located yet you crash in the ocean or don't reach your designated objective.
But I feel if this plane got to the runway a pilot was in on it.

The only thing is, if the pilots intentionally did it, why risk flying back over land? It's very plausible some swinging dick staring at a radar screen in Malaysia/Thailand could've actually been paying attention.
