Why haven't the IT guys houses been searched? Or the pilots? Or the 2 illegal passports dudes?
I mean it's been 6 days now & if this was indeed a hijacking, there has to be some evidence fricking somewhere.
Theres no way to say that they haven't. But why are you shocked at anything anymore? I would love to have a war with Malaysia! I bet there are about 10 countries thinking about invading that Island of IDIOTS in charge

- A plane was dispatched to the area where the Chinese satellite image was located.
- Reports started to funnel in that the Vietnamese had been over that area numerous times in the last few days with no results.
- The Malaysians revealed that they had found no trace of Flight 370 after flying over the area where the Chinese satellite image was taken.
- The Wall Street Journal released an article online with a source claiming that engine data downloaded to Boeing revealed that Flight 370 had continued to fly for an additional 5 hours after it had disappeared.
- The Malaysians held a press conference disputing this information.
- Now no one knows what to do next.

I'm sorry but I am going to have to go with the Wall Street Journal on this one. I believe a reputable American news publication over the defense minister for the Malaysian government. The WSJ more than likely wouldn't find some cook on the street to get a quote from. I think their source, whoever it is, is legitimate.
This and the fact that Rolls Royce themselves in the same article, would noether confirm nor deny the WSJ article.
quote:
We continue to monitor the situation and to offer Malaysia Airlines our support," a Rolls-Royce representative said Wednesday, declining further comment.
quote:
As part of its maintenance agreements, Malaysia Airlines transmits its engine data live to Rolls-Royce for analysis. The system compiles data from inside the 777's two Trent 800 engines and transmits snapshots of performance, as well as the altitude and speed of the jet. Those snippets are compiled and transmitted in 30-minute increments, said one person familiar with the system. According to Rolls-Royce's website, the data is processed automatically "so that subtle changes in condition from one flight to another can be detected."
Something a terrorist or hijacker probably would not have known.
If the plane was hijacked, then it would have taken more than 2 individuals to take over cockpit, confiscate cell phones and control that many people on one plane. Thats a lot of work to do for just 2 or 3 people.
This whole situation is terribly mystifying

he landing distance charts in the POH for the 777 indicates that it could be put down on a 5000 ft strip at sea level assuming most of the fuel had been used. Just more trivia, not suggesting this actually happened.
But it would have to be able to take back off at some point with fuel. That has to be considered unless someone hijacked it to start an aviation museum on an island.

Something just doesn't feel right about this entire situation at all. I understand there's a huge amount of factors that can play into no wreckage being found yet. However, there been have numerous reports and then retractions, extremely scarce information in general, no mention of at all of emergency/crash beacons, contradictions between officials by the day, etc. It seems like everyone is playing a game of CYA in this thing.

Without luggage and 240 people, i would think it's possible. Plus they could strip out whatever else they don't need to crash a plane into a building.

How hard is it, really, to obtain jet fuel? I know it's not like you just go to the Shell on the corner, but it's not uranium, guys. Private civilian jet aircraft, business jets, etc all have to have it. Someone dedicated enough to hijack a 777 could also obtain enough fuel to fill it up. I'm sure it's regulated to some extent, but mafia types the world over are able to make off with stuff like this, if that's even necessary. Chances are that in a 3rd work country with lax regs, you could form a dummy company and just buy a tanker truck of it.

How bout buying the fuel? How in the frick are you going ot keep this a secret for the time and effort it takes to accomplish what you are saying?
If that was the goal, they would have flew it into a building that night! They would NEVER make it to anywhere of significance now without being shot down.

At this point I don't think it will ever be found. They are no closer to finding it now than they were when it first disappeared. It is crazy something like that could happen in 2014 but I think that's were we are at.
I get that there is a possibility that it flew for four more hours due to the engine data but wouldn't it have shown up on radar somewhere if that was the case? I just don't buy that.
This will be the new great mystery that the tin foil tribe will spend the next 100 years obsessing over.

It's possible the plane flew undetected for 4 hours and 20 minutes a few days ago. What makes you think that can't happen again?

Who is 'you' here? A western person in the US, Canada, Germany? Probably harder to buy the fuel and keep it secret. But how hard is it really to do that in the 3rd world? What secret are you keeping? Nobody gives a shite what you do there. You think that in tribal Pakistan or the middle of the giant desert that is Saudi, that you have to keep it a secret?
Posted on 3/13/14 at 8:14 am to 3HourTour
Eventually it would fly into a radar monitored air space right?

No real news. Every potential lead gets shot down by the Malaysians. Malaysians are going to hold a news conference later today demonstrating all the efforts they have made and the resources they have devoted to this. I think that is the prelude to them calling off or severely reducing the search. Basically saying we have done all we can and were done. Back to business as usual.

They will hold a press conference and say "Plane? What Plane. There is no missing plane. Don't know what all the other governments are talking about." And walk away.

I'm sticking by my prediction. Plane exploded and scattered at the bottom of the sea. Not sure if failure or terrorism did it, but that's my guess. They will find it in the next week.
