The DEM candidates aren't funny at all just scary as hell. As for comedians Bill Burr and Steven Wright are great.

Andrew Dice Clay's talent has always been overlooked. His albums "The Day the Laughter Died" (Parts 1 & 2) are brilliant. Produced by Rick Rubin, he basically goes on the stage with no material. He just talks off the top of his head and rips on audience members. You even get to hear him get in a fistfight with an audience member at the end of one of them.

I got really drunk with her and her gay Asian "boyfriend" at the Rib Shack in Highlands, NC in '08. She was very reserved, surpringly, but the little gay dude was hilarious. He hit on me all night, even stuck his tongue in my ear.

Good friend of mine and is a NOLA guy that's been opening for Amy Schumer since she won last comic standing. Check him out. Mark has been on Conan a few times along with a few comedy central specials. He will be famous, long list of accolades in his short tenure doing stand up in NYC.
My favorites are probably Louis C K or Robin Williams.
