Yeah, the wind is very strong now. Prolly gusting to 100. But it does let up at times.

I dont know bout downtown, southside totally in dark. But weather is tolerable.

I asked this earlier... My wife has family on Padre Island in Corpus Christi. Any chance at all they don't flood?

They evacuated btw.

As far as the island, they may have been spared. Storm surge went above us. Last i saw, only expected 3-6'. But i would not have stayed on the island.

Ur friend is closer to the bay. But if his house holds up to 100 gusts, he should be good.

Parde island is a few hours south of corpus. Nvm. Didn't realize it went that far north.

Radar looks like you are still right on the outside of the main core action.



Rockport is about to catch the other side of the eye, while Refugio gets the eye wall for the first now.

winds still 130 around the eye..you're fairing well in CC

BTW if any one cares, Refugio, pronounced Rafurio, is the burthplace of Nolan Ryan.
Small historic town with awesome high school football.

Rockport was in the eye and people were driving around for 2 hours looking at the damage, Rockport HS heavily damaged, but still standing

Roof at the Marriott Fairfield Rockport came off, hotel evacuated
