Yeah, the wind is very strong now. Prolly gusting to 100. But it does let up at times.

Glad to see you're still hanging in there!

I asked this earlier... My wife has family on Padre Island in Corpus Christi. Any chance at all they don't flood?
They evacuated btw.

Where is he?
As far as the island, they may have been spared. Storm surge went above us. Last i saw, only expected 3-6'. But i would not have stayed on the island.

Ur friend is closer to the bay. But if his house holds up to 100 gusts, he should be good.

Parde island is a few hours south of corpus. Nvm. Didn't realize it went that far north.

Can't say without news, but it feels like wind is dying down.

Radar looks like you are still right on the outside of the main core action.
Rockport is about to catch the other side of the eye, while Refugio gets the eye wall for the first now.
winds still 130 around the eye..you're fairing well in CC

Rockport was in the eye and people were driving around for 2 hours looking at the damage, Rockport HS heavily damaged, but still standing
Roof at the Marriott Fairfield Rockport came off, hotel evacuated

When the wind flips it gets interesting real quick.
