Yeah I don't see the problem. We easily spent 1k or more on mom this year. Parents probably spent 3-400$ on me and my brother. Probably spent 500+$ on dad. Grandma will give me 200$ and aunt and uncle 100$. Got 25 from my grandpa though

New smart TV, clothes(UK and Bengals stuff mostly), and a pretty cool tarp thing to put on my truck windshield during the winter to keep it from freezing and to keep snow from getting on the windshield.

Same here!!
I've been uncharacteristically emotional about it. Last night while I was rocking him to sleep, listening to Christmas music. I was thinking about my dad, who has some major health issues. As well as my 2 grandfathers, one of whom has rapidly accelerating alzheimer's, and the other was just diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer in the past month.
With all of that on my mind, I randomly started bawling. He is my absolute world, and now I have to give him memories like the ones I cherish from my childhood, because the men who made me who I am aren't fully capable anymore. I want him to have a childhood that some believe doesn't exist anymore. The same one I had. One of wonder, and imagination, where each book is another adventure, and another lifetime to be lived. One where the Force is with him, and it's always wabbit season, I mean, duck season. One of swimming in creeks at the farm, and learning to shoot in the pasture. One of riding the tractor, pulling potatoes, and shucking corn. One of love, family, and God.
Geez, I'm crying writing all of this. Love your family. Cherish them, hold them close, they are gone in an instant. However, for a child, a lifetime's worth of memories can be made in a single day. A child's day is long compared to ours, but I plan to make every day I can just as long to me.
Sorry guys, didn't really mean to go there. But he is asleep in my arms, and that's the path my mind chose. Though I'm glad it did, it was a bit cathartic.
Edit: More to the point of the thread. I didn't get jacksquat for Christmas, and that's perfectly fine with me.

Brag - Seeing my kids happy with their presents
Gripe - Waking up too early (not that bad though)
Side Question: Do y'all recommend the gas or electric oil-less fryer?
