I am closely monitoring the situation in Brooklyn Center. Gwen and I are praying for Daunte Wright’s family as our state mourns another life of a Black man taken by law enforcement.
Imagine being a cop working in a state ran by this guy.

I would quit he can protect the public himself. I hope his security detail quit too because he threw all cops under the bus.

They need to send some of these “peaceful protesters” to his house. Bet he’s got a lot of neat stuff they can loot.
And of course he would NEVER use law enforcement to protect himself.

No way I'd be a cop in today's day and time, especially not in a Democrat city/state.
I know some good cops but a lot with Napoleon syndrome who get off on the power it gives them, I assume that would be the only motivation to continue working for a place like Milwaukee PD, unless you were right around the corner from retirement.
Atlanta had a similar travesty last year and if IIRC, a ton of cops walked off.

This. I just don't understand how the more ignorant cannot see the blatantly obvious hypocrisy. Hell we've seen it this entire Covid time period, Governors/Mayors, and others who have no problem declaring mandates and then thinking they are above their own legally shoddy mandates.

The kings in their castles,
The serfs in the streets,
The queens in silk slippers,
The poor with bare feet,
The lords in their ballrooms,
Feast upon cake and sweets,
Workers cramped round the table,
Kids with not much to eat,
The ones who control us,
That make all the rules,
They are few,
And we’re many,
But divided and fools,
Put aside petty squabbles,
Before it’s too late,
Because they’ll only listen,
When the mob’s at their gate.

Brooklyn center mayor just called it a killing. Looks like he will stoke the flames

damn, guy didn't want to get cuffed, was outside the car by the passenger door, fought the cops off, got back in the car, started driving away

Police chief, who kind of has a NI haircut, said he thinks it was an accidental discharge.

I guess he wants the businesses to get looted by the way he’s talking. He is being very careful with how he is talking about the looting but straight up said the cop killed the thug.

On the bright side, Duante no longer has outstanding warrants.

What was the warrant for?
According to KARE 11 reporter Chris Hrapsky, Daunte Wright had an outstanding warrant for gross misdemeanor carrying a pistol without a permit and misdemeanor fleeing police. The warrant was issued April 2nd after he failed to appear for his court date. Looks like he was asking for trouble.

African American reporter,
"In a pandemic, why are you pulling over people for expired license plates?" (shouldn't all of the laws just kinda go away?)

The new narrative has shifted from they pulled him over bc of air fresheners to him not having tags. They think that he shouldn’t have been pulled over for tags because we are in the middle of a “pandemic “. Maybe he would still be alive if he didn’t try to get in the car and run. Glad the thug is dead

Wow what an idiot cop though. All things aside, she should know better.
To the downvoters:
What the frick about my comment do you not agree with? A cop who pulls her gun instead of her taser and then actually SHOOTS that gun when she thinks she’s pulling the trigger on her taser and the guy dies as a result needs to be fired. Yea, the guy should’ve never tried to run. Duh! Should he have been tased when he tried to run? Yes. But what part of your mindset tells you it’s acceptable for her to make that kind of careless and deadly mistake?

That last question asking if he doesn't immediately support firing this cop what does that say to the world about his support of black lives.
Now, how does a majority white police force work with black and brown people in the community.
Just absolutely ridiculous. I swear they want to bring back segregation.
