So you think a pressure point would work on a doped up dude that doesn't want to be there?

You’re a fricking scum bag even remotely defending that crap. frick that piece of shite cop.

People like you are thr first ones that will be calling them and begging for help. Then try to cry about your "rights" when they don't follow textbook procedure.

Point blank, he saved the guy's life. If he hadn't acted, the guy kills himself. I wish he would have, but he's obligated to stop him. So, I will ask again.. how else does he stop him? The guy has the straps locked up and wouldn't let go. What is appropriate to get him to release and comply? Serious question..

Why do you think that this is ok or will not result in some kind of reaction? Would you do this to anyone else and not expect something to happen

The reaction shouldn't from from the cop. The reaction should occur in Court where the DA and Judge go harder on the defendant because he was a jackass to the cop. It happens all the time in the well run cops.

Unacceptable behavior. Yes the prisoner is a low life undesirable.
The cop is a POS and gives other cops a bad name.
After reading many comments supporting the cops behavior and another stating they would have simply kept on driving when the prisoner was trying to hang themself….

Equally applying to the prisoner and the cop….. actions have consequences.

The cop made the choice to be a cop. Laws apply to him also.
We live in a society that has rules & laws governing individual actions.
In no way am I taking up for the prisoner, not in any way, form or such, without question, the cop should be fired and face civil rights charges.

The second officer failed to act. Didn’t verbalize to the offending cop to stop beating the prisoner, failed to take action when the first cop slammed the prisoners head in the door, failed to free the prisoner from the position he was in, simply failed to act. And today, that is also a crime.

Every cop has been mandated training on these subjects.

Undoubtedly the young man doesn't care about his well-being by taking that shite so why should anyone else care. I don't.

Once again, I'm not a cop.

I do find it amazing that so many people are concerned for the guy that stuffed a lethal drug up his arse and then tried to strangle himself to death. God forbid he gets a bump on his head from the car door. Can't have that..

here’s my question for you. Would you be okay if a regular citizen did this to another citizen yes or no? Because at the end of the day cops are citizens whose profession is a public service. This doesn’t allow them special powers outside of the law. They are paid to uphold the law, but not given any permits to work outside the law. Meaning if someone threatens them they have the authority to use lethal force, it doesn’t mean they get to shoot (or beat up) anyone they feel like. If a guy is trying to kill himself I don’t think beating the frick out of him is a good way to stop it.

It's great we can all just walk up to any public servant, call them a fat piece of shite and they are supposed to just carry on. That isn't at all disturbing the peace or a hate crime. Are cops exempt from those protections as well?
ever heard of a thing called the 1st amendment?freedom of speech? That is literally what it’s for. I hate commies and nazis but they still have a right to exist in this country. If I call a cop a cock sucking fascist pig he does not have the right to frick me up. No matter how much of a dumbass I may be for saying that.
