Current active US cases of 1.1MM over US population of 330.8MM equals 0.3% of population (1:300’ish).

Further, of the 0.3%, many in nursing homes, prison, or sick in bed which likely lowers than number in public to 0.1% or 0.2%.

And, given that most of us aren’t hugging strangers in general, the odds of actually contracting the virus from the 1:300 to 1:500 people out there are incalculably small.

We closed the economy, put people in unemployment, cancelled graduations/proms, had job offers rescinded, had immunizations delayed, etc. for this?

If you do catch it, there is a 50% or more chance you have no symptoms.

And even still. Places like new York are padding those numbers.

It's closer to 1:2000 where I live.

Eta:sorry I jumped the gun responding.

This was one of the biggest overreactions to anything I’ll ever see. If the virus was never discovered, I don’t think much is different today.

I don't know what retard downvoted this, but you're absolutely right. I had it, and the ONLY symptom I ever felt from it (besides the initial two days of fever and feeling sick) was loss of smell for about a month. Again, whoever downvoted this is a fricking dumbass because you're absolutely right. I know, I did all kinds of research because I didn't believe the positive on my Covid 19 test was accurate at first. The doctor confirmed that the majority of those out there who have the virus in their system either know it and don't feel anything, or they have no idea that they are carrying it because they haven't been tested (and have no reason to do so).

Most of the deaths (I said most, not all) are the elderly in nursing homes or those who are in terrible health. The mania that the MSM tries to pump out there as though it's a silent killer is utter bullshite. I get the social distancing thing, I even get wearing a mask. I don't get those who are paralyzed in fear behind it as though this is some mutated form of HIV fused with cancer.

And the price that is being paid for it is astronomical. A few people I know who had very good paying professional jobs have been laid off due to the overreaction. I'm not talking grunts working a cubicle making $50,000 a year. I'm talking people in leadership positions providing for their family. That is what's scary.

So 250-350 people in a full Tiger Stadium would be carrying COVID. That’s a legit would you go situation. Depends on the opponent, I guess.

Well, your odds of running into someone are much higher as I assume many are seeing several people a day
