Has anyone here been to Octoberfest in Munich? I'll be going next week. What are some things to see and do?

I'm waiting for cooler weather to arrive in order to start drinking these as a celebration for surviving another sumemr - easily my favorite Abita brew.

Get there early so you can get a seat in one of the beer tents. The waitress's won't get you a beer if you are standing up. Don't give up your seat until you are for sure ready to leave the tent. You'll never get it back. Do the Hofbrauhaus tent. It was the best when I went.

After getting shitfaced one evening in a beer tent my bro announced that he was going to find some tits. He started walking off and I was afraid he'd end up in trouble so I followed him. He hailed a cab, we got in, and when the driver asked where he wanted to go he said "take me to see some titties". The guy took us somewhere and dropped us off and I vaguely remember the rest of the night but we kept drinking with random people and had a blast... and some girl showed us her tits.
So my advice is to catch a cab and tell the driver to bring you to see tits.
I was looking through my Munich pics... I found this on that drunken night. A PARACHUTING PENIS! Germany is so much fun.

Abita is ok but if you want a stellar Octoberfest, pick up the Sierra Nevada.....it's brewed in conjunction with a brewery in Germany. It's fantastic

You have buddies willing to fight someone to keep your spot... and you return the favor. Germans are really nice though. No matter how hard I tried to fight one I could never get them to do it.
