Words like racist and sexist have lost all meaning in our society. They are simply thrown out during an argument because one side has clearly been overwhelmed with facts and evidence and more logical arguments. So I thank you for your sincere go-down swinging defeat at the hands of my superior arguments.

And of course Geaux Tigers!!!!

You've provided opinions, not facts. And you called me a count, so I called you an equally useless insult.

If that's what you call it, sure.

Impossible. Women are ego driven maniacs during their weddings. It's all about them and they make sure everyone knows it.

So do I.

I definitely find that my opinion on the subject has changed over time.

Count (male) or countess (female) is a title in European countries for a noble of varying status, but historically deemed to convey an approximate rank intermediate between the highest and lowest titles of nobility.

Seems like I called you a nobleman.

Poor OP ... All he asked for was could he likely count on the same schedule format being followed.

I think that this is one of those "agree to disagree" situations. Have your wedding when ever you want. I will say as an AVID LSU fan I've encouraged my children (when the time comes) to NOT get married during football season EVEN if it's an off week due to the anniversary thing UNLESS their S/O is as avid a fan as they are. The bride shouldn't just give in but neither should the groom. This is a compromise situation!

It's been a while since we've missed an LSU game due to a wedding but depending on the relation, I might would just skip it. lol when my 49 yo sister in law told me she was getting married and I asked "oh that's great; when?" and she said "next fall", I was SO surprised that she'd gotten engaged to the dude who no one had ever really met that I truly didn't know what else to say but "don't forget to check the LSU schedule" came flying out of my mouth. I still feel bad about that but I was TRULY shocked at the news! Yes, I've apologized.

Nothing wrong with that.

No need to apologize to an inlaw for that.

I've missed the last 2 Alabama games because my wife has been in weddings on that day.

It sucks, but I have had a blast at both the weddings and with smart phones now its pretty easy to watch/follow the game.

Even during the actual ceremony

Especially when her husband is a drunken arse AND is ugly and insulting to my mother in law as well as my sister in law (yes, His wife). She picked a real winner. BUT she DID schedule around LSU! lol

LSU always has a bye before the Alabama game which is always the first Saturday in November.

False. The game is not always the first Saturday in November. Just in 2014 it was the 2nd Saturday.

Our long time neighbors daughter got married on Alabama game day last year ... the mom/dad saw us at the reception and said "WOAH ... y'all skipped the game??? We just knew y'all weren't coming!" and I just said no big deal (I mean it was an away game). I'm glad that we didn't have to decide either game or wedding!

I've done it, along with everyone else at the wedding.

LSU alum married an Auburn alum the night of the LSU v Auburn game in 2012

That game sucked anyway. My engagement party was that night. We had two TVs going in two big living rooms. No complaints at that party either.

Just don't. All of your guests will have everything in the world scheduled for that weekend. Do it the weekend after the SEC title game. It's early enough that you don't interfere with Christmas plans while late enough that you don't interfere with football.

Never do a fall wedding, just block those months off and spare your guests the headache.

It's a bye week this year but unless your wife loves football you are going to miss a game for your anniversary every year.

You do realize that your anniversary every year doesn't fall on a Saturday?
