Grammar mistakes and typos don't bother me on message boards. Non-Englishisms like "should of" grate on me a little more. Or people reversing "sale" and "sell." Those aren't mistakes, they're signs of stupidity.

The ones that are obviously not typographical are bothersome. And the worst are in the sig.
ETA: You also need to understand that ignorant people don't want to be confronted with their ignorance; they think that are knowledgeble when they clearly aren't. If they didn't pay attention to simple stuff like contractions, you can bet they don't get much else either.
