My wife got her masters from NSU and...yea. I'll just say all the offenders with airhorns, cowbells etc started arriving as the keynote address was wrapping up so people were filing in as names were starting to be called (as if a certain demographic abides by it's own sense of time) which is disrespectful enough...they made an announcement about decorum and allowing all graduates to have a moment but that didn't stop some families.
Found a facebook thread with a meme about this and all the participants in the comments section were of that demographic...basic consensus was...we don't care if it's trashy or it bothers people we're gonna do it anyway. One even proudly posted how her daughter begged her not to make a scene which only made her want to make MORE of a scene.

I don't get the people who want every member of their family to go watch the graduate. I know people want to see their favorite nephew or their first granddaughter graduate, but its not that exciting. Sure people want to see their person go up and get their diploma (which is really just a piece of paper), but then you have to sit through a bunch of bullshite. They should limit that shite to 4 people a person... Mom & pops.. Or guardians.. Then maybe a grandmother and a sibling.... Video the moment and show it to the others. No need for the bullshite.

It doesn't matter the graduation level, we went to an 8th grade graduation, the yelling and screaming was unreal. I'm thinking to myself, this is an 8th grade "show" graduation, not fricking Harvard.
