Yep - once in a while I have to pick up my daughter from LSU - she’s easy to spot bc she’s one of the ones that is not obese
These kids came of age during the Obama administration. All they know is entitlement and any sort of responsibility or accountability is racist, sexist, and homophobic.

I used to live in the Pacific Northwest for a couple of years around 2008-09. I never saw a fat white person there under the age of 40. A lot of boomers, blacks, and Hispanics were but I hardly saw any chunky younger people. I almost forgot what they looked like when I moved back to the South.

followed by Hispanic adults (44.8%),

Well, the medical establishment knows about ZERO when it comes to proper nutrition and they are getting carte blanche on "health."

Oh frick off. Patients don't really listen to us either way. You morons still think a metabolic illness, which obesity is, is somehow all a matter of individual choice, when it is in fact an illness that modulates specific hormones. It beggars belief that people look to rising obesity rates across countries and cultures with a wide variety of culinary traditions and still suggest the cause is solely on the indivudual. We wouldn't do this with anything else. Why do we do it with obesity?

Wut?

Your metabolism can be sped up via exercise…

Please explain how it is not an individual choice to eat 1,000 calorie meals 3-4x a day and avoid exercising?

Fat people that can do something about it, I do not understand that. I get some people have auto-immune issues and what not.

There’s an actual diagnosis code for “morbid obesity due to excessive calories” lmao

Combined with a low IQ trashy element and you’ve just described 51% of the country. I’m witnessing it now waiting on my food in a Mexican restaurant. This fat slob is YELLING at a one year old. She’s currently shoving her phone in the poor kids face.

Special occasion food back then is every day food now.

People drink calorie dense drinks instead of water.

People don’t leave their screens.

Those three things pretty much explain it all.

Oh, you go frick off instead. 99% of obesity is due to eating copious amounts of ulra-processed and sugar filled garbage. This not only causes obesity but also causes systematic inflammation, diabetes, fuels cancer growth, and enables the body to erupt into a number of chronic illnesses. Your response to me is the type of ignorance and falsehoods that I fully expect from the medical community these days.

The use of the word all is how they justify their opinion. It’s the new “actually” of the disingenuous and/or pseudo-intellectual.

The fricking moron actually believes that skyrocketing obesity, which coincides with the change in the American diet, portion sizes, additives and preservatives, the transition to fast food, and the addiction to a neuro-inflammatory agent known as sugar... to him this is all a metabolic illness which is completely out of the realm of personal responsibility and must be helped by peddling the latest pharmaceutical drugs.

He's not a doctor. He's indoctrinated.

just eliminate the top three here and this problem will go away.
most people (I said most) enjoy enough daily activity to remain fit as long as they don’t eat/drink poison

Yup. Lot easier for mom or dad to pick up a bag of garbage from McDonald's on the way home from work. Kids grow up in an environment where home cooked meals are only for weekends and holidays.

Most households today have both parents working. This is a big factor.

I pray that he isn’t really a Medical Doctor. That was an awful response and horrific logic.
