They're just trying to fatten them up in case they need to eat them in the apocalypse. Smart

Hey man, my kid has a gland problem.

Took our 3 year old to the aquarium today. I noticed the same. Also it's troubling how many people just let their young kids roam around without being anywhere around. We went to the sting ray petting thing and the attendant asked me if this 2 year old next to us was mine. I recognized her from the food court and her dad and older sister where nowhere to be found. They came walking in the room about 10 minutes later like no big deal.

They're auditioning to be the next Honey Boo Boo.

My parents had poor eating habits that trickled down to me. I always struggled with my weight. I work out now and stay as healthy as possible. I make sure my daughter eats healthy food and is highly active. The problem is that the fat parents are lazy and don't want to play with their kids, so they shove a pad in their hands so they can sit on the couch and watch TV.

its simple. Don't keep shite in the house and fix wholesome meals. The activity level takes care of itself.
And, LIMIT SODAS!
I've seen some baskets at HEB on Sunday evenings and I could never see us buying such garbage.

My wife works in a school where kids can get a "free" breakfast at school .... it's consists of a pop tart and chocolate muffin. The lunches aren't better.

America is Fat AF. It was ridiculous the amount of shite Michelle Obama got for trying to make school lunches healthy.
All the fatty parents were just outraged that she was oppressing their little piglets by forcing them to eat healthy meals.

Right. God forbid we make school lunches somewhat healthy. 'Murica

dergrad. I am now at 165 and never ever want my daughter to have to fight the battle I had to fight due to my parents eating habits when I was younger.
So it's your parents fault?

Honestly, yes. I'm a big advocate of personal responsibility but eating habits are most definitely hugely influenced by what you're brought up with. If you're eating garbage all day long from age 3 on up, it's hard to correct this on your own in your adult life. If your norm is eating nonstop with no healthy, regularly-timed meals and you're 275 pounds in high school, you're likely going to fat all your life. It is what it is.

My 4 year old and 18 month old play outside everyday. They love it as much as I did as a kid. Limit the time on electronics, eat healthy for the most part and they will stay active. We avoid all the processed crap.

Same with mine.
Kids get at least an hour outside everyday after school even after they've been outside a lot at school. It's like muscle memory for them now.
The eating healthy part is the other thing too. We try to feed them a lot of vegetables and fruits and healthy meats like lean ground meat and turkey.
It's not hard once you're in a good routine.

Yeah the Midwest is almost as bad as the south when it comes to fatties. The central time zone be eating.
