Investigators with the Louisiana State Police have arrested an Oak Grove police officer on charges of second-degree rape.
David Tyler Boyd, age 27, Lake Providence, worked for the city of Oak Grove for approximately three years.
In late July, the LSP Special Victims Unit received a complaint in reference to a teenager being raped by a man in East Carroll Parish.
During this investigation, it was revealed Boyd had sexual intercourse with a teenager. On Aug. 6, 2018, Boyd was arrested in Oak Grove and later transferred to River Bend Correctional Center in Lake Providence where he was charged with second-degree rape.
Stay strong Oak Grove

What a fat count of a man.

Execute him during halftime of the next LSU home game.
Or between the 3rd and 4th quarter if it’s a blowout.

Oak Grove is probably pretty tame. Looks like he finally got to use the handcuffs.

They used to have sex with teen girls all the time in Walnut Grove, too.

Wtf? He's the mayor and says this...dumbass. Why not say this is a victory towards stopping pedophilia? But Oak Grove will go on......

Officer Boyd is about to learn a lot more about rape.

Isn’t Oak Grove less than 2,000 people? How many police officers do they even have?

The age of consent in Louisiana. However, this seems to be a forcible rape case, not merely statutory rape.
Second degree rape in Louisiana is standard rape, with no aggravating or mitigating factors. First degree rape is rape committed at gunpoint, rape against a person under 13 or rape of a person over 65. Third degree rape is having sex with a person too drunk to consent.
Statutory rape (consensual sex with a 13-16 year old) is carnal knowledge of minors in Louisiana. It's not charged as a degree of rape like it is in some states.

It’s 17 years old on Louisiana. That means the kid was 13-16 years old. Pretty creepy

Unless Lake Providence has changed a hell of a lot, I can say that I would not want to be incarcerated there....
