Why is everyone obsessed with these “facts”?

1. There was absolutely a child on the road.
2. She was absolutely kidnapped.

Think outside the box people.

She drove for at least a hundred yards with her flashers on. Slowing down gradually.
Then she exited her vehicle and stood beside it for several minutes.

None of that is the behavior of a woman who is desperate to find a child.

She ran away with someone or she ran away from someone.

I’m with you on that but it seems like something a PD would put out in a high profile case, dealing with an overly sensitive public when you want to release info that appears to make it suspicious. You know you can’t really release private details and you definitely don’t want to come across as insensitive. So instead they point out that she was there the day of “she was handling some business” but in case pointing that out is too far you lay on the compliments. Well she made mistakes but still had a bright future ahead of her type stuff.

However I don’t see how anyone could say LE isn’t taking it seriously but the thing is even if they knew it was a ruse they’d still have to investigate and not just for the public perception. The only threshold they need would be “Is there evidence to suggest this person is a risk to themselves or the public?”

It will really be a shame if this turns out to be a sham. I think that’s why a lot of the national media is covering it but not as much as they could be. It definitely has the interest. This one they are trying to protect just in case things go sideways.

I don’t know any woman who would just call the police and leave a baby alone on the road. Even knowing this has happened to others I couldn’t bring myself to leave a baby on a road alone. I would definitely scope the situation before jumping out now and have my gun in hand but never just leave. In fact, I wouldn’t want to know any female who did because something inside her is broken.

Klamath forest in Northern california. My ex-wife sees maybe a 3-year-old on the side of the road by herself, she says stop.

I asked her, what have you seen for dwellings or anything else for the last 25 miles?

I kept driving and honestly I don't think I've ever thought about it again until just now.

Some commotion on Twitter that the Police got a call from her saying she’s at the Red Roof Inn in Hoover/Vestavia.

Not sure how legit this guy is….

Glad she's ok. But if she staged this whole thing she's in a lot of trouble.

apparently the guy on twitter is saying the Red Roof Inn called 911 because 6 car loads of people (I assume friends and family) showed up and they needed assistance because they couldn't handle them. If they believe she is there you'd have a hard time keeping them from tearing the place apart trying to find her. A police presence would quell and ensuing chaos you'd hope

Case hasn’t been solved yet. Could very well have been a hoax call.

If it was a hoax, she probably was expecting a gofundme but it never materialized

If she really is at the red roof, which is about 10 minutes from where she went missing, it makes some kind of kidnapping make more sense. I guess she could be just hiding out in a vacant room, but if she interacted with anyone at the hotel they probably would have recognized her. Her face is everywhere in town.
