First, why do I give a frick if she's a nurse. It doesn't change a thing about the story. Second, there has got to be more to the story from one side or the other.

News flash cops are idiots.

Maybe. My guess is that cop was pissed she did not pull over immediately and on a power trip. SO her probably immediately yelled at her. And she probably mouthed right back.

There's your problem. Our Sheriff would probably send deputies over to cut her grass for a year after apologizing 10 times.

I believe the answer to the mystery lies here...

Very probable. That thought crossed my mind. One of them or both of them were in the wrong. Unless they release the video we'll never know.

I agree, but what if it was a biker?

Guilty all the way. Throw the book at her and lock away the key.

Scruffy's sister called the police station when she was being pulled over once. They had no issue with it.

Without having seen video, it seems reasonably likely the cop was being a dick. But we don't know, the woman might not have pulled over very calmly, might have been somewhat belligerent, etc.
At any rate, this is what courts are for - to sort it out.
Full disclosure - I've been in this situation myself once. Growing up in LA I'd always been taught that it was fine to wave recognition and slowly proceed to a safe area without doing anything sudden. Up here the convention is different - you pull over *immediately*. Even if it's a highway and you're blocking a lane. I learned that one the hard way, although fortunately I was not arrested for it.

Strange, I've always pulled off the side of the road into a parking lot or turn lane and never had an issue.

As the cop who pulled me over on my way home from work in my scrubs said: "I'd hate to wake up in the OR or ER to see the guy I ticketed recognize me".
Just like it's officer discretion in a lot of situations, so is medical care quality and timeliness. Want the best out of me? Treat me like it! Treat me like crap, get the same in return!

Cops are scared shitless during traffic stops, and sometimes resort to spray-and-pray conclusions.
Cops are aggressive toward everyone... black, white, red, yellow, green and purple.
I think the reason the aggression has ramped up is the solider worship following 9/11 and Iraq/Afg. We created this monster by being such weepy silly feminine pukes.

That's cool and all but in the case of the article it doesn't change anything if they were a nurse or an accountant. I don't see why it's even mentioned.
