re: Now the Annual Thanksgiving Play by Play Thread

Flew into Central Florida yesterday with Wife (no pics) so she can enjoy Thanksgiving with her family. Pothead SIL is hosting.
Wife would also like to take her niece and nephew to Disney. Well in advance arrangements were made, tickets booked hotel booked. Whatever you want baby (we all know the drill). Find out Tuesday SIL/BIL aren’t going which means niece and nephew aren’t going. Wife is crushed she cannot go to Disney with her niece and nephew. Guess who is now paying for SIL, BIL, niece, and nephew to go to Disney for two days? I feel like Clark Griswold. I love their children so it’s completely fine, but wtf you can’t let us know in advance? I’d would have rather gone to fricking Miami, same for my wife.
Wednesday, flight landed 12pm drive 1.5 hour north to visit with the kids and see if we can help in preparation for tomorrow. Nothing is done and the house is FILTHY. I asked SIL repeatedly if I could help prepare some of the food or get some things ready as she “works from home” but was repeatedly met with no. Wife was also incredibly off put by the state of the house and lack of preparation so we left after a few hours for nice dinner and many drinks. Very grateful we booked a hotel room.
This is our first holiday with her family in 4 years. Usually spend holidays with my family for obvious reasons and lucky for me likely will for all eternity. This morning she rolled over and said, let’s not do this again. I’m elated but playing the, “ok, are you sure? It’s not that bad.” game because I’m good like that. She’s now listing off all the reasons why we can never come back. Thanksgiving hasn’t even started and it’s already been a success/win for me. Just have to go grab a bottle of bourbon and push through the next 72 hrs. Wish me luck.

A small price to pay to look like a rose while your wife comes around to the conclusion you want for the future. Consider it an investment in future years of sanity lol.

Wasn’t a con, I wanted take the kids to Disney almost as bad as my wife. Perfect ages of 5 & 7. I’m not going to let two deadbeats disappoint my wife or take this away from their children.

Gabe weighing in. He’s an ex OU player who does this every year and posts what he eats all day with pictures of each plate and then weighs out later in the evening. Guy can pack away the pounds!

My oldest sister isn’t coming to Thanksgiving this year. She and her husband of 20+ years got divorced earlier this year. She quickly fell in love with a guy from Utah who is like 15 years older than her that she met online. My parents, my other sister, and I know for a fact that she was talking to this guy well before she got divorced, so none of us approve of it. Now she and Utah dude are planning to get married (she’s been out there to see him 3 or 4 times) and he’s moving here to Alabama in December. She’s all pissed because we don’t approve and my parents have already said that they don’t want him to come to our family Christmas gathering since they’ve never even met him. Now she’s not talking to us. She was invited to Thanksgiving tonight but never even responded to the invitation.

I’ll add another honorable mention this year. This is the first time the wife (no pics) and I have traveled for thanksgiving, we drove up to her family’s lake house. Finally got to meet her aunt she’s always talking about, and how wild and good of a time she is. Well, she did not disappoint!!
We are playing a game Tuesday night after cooking and drinking all day, and shes absolutely sauced at this point. Well she flashes her bra a couple times at the table and I’m thinking yep I’m those puppies are coming out. About an hour later she goes outside and send its! Pops those dudes out and presses them against the sliding glass door lol!
Later when we go to bed I turned to the wife and said I saw your aunts tits tonight, she was like yep I told you.
