Yikes... hopefully your grandmother found it humorous, lol... Sometimes they aren't as uptight as us middle aged folk.

That’s one of the more innocent white trash doings on that side of the family.

But also appreciate the blue veins on the ballsack

Turkey in the oven too damn early.

Uncles are AU fans and are leaving early to go over to game Friday. They have 3 inside dogs that can’t be left at home, and so we are eating early so they can get back today.

Reminding myself…there are a small handful of people that actually give a shite about you on this earth. Usually see them on this day. One day not too far off, all of mine will be gone. Could have played my hand better.

This is 100% the truth and something we all need to recognize today. Be grateful for those people, try to find patience with them, and love on them today.

Visited my father last night. He’s 80, lives alone, and he still cooked the same amount he always has even though people who should be visiting with him won’t. Made me sad, but I am so thankful I still have him here to celebrate with.

Our time is short, and it goes too fast.

Cracked open my first beer. I might be the one that is discussed later today by our fellow members. I have three parties to go to starting at noon. My post from a few years ago…

I want to play! Wife’s cousin thought that it would be a good idea to smoke a bowl on the back porch. He didn’t know the windows were open. House smells like pot. Wife thinks it’s me and bitched me out...

Well my parents dropped a bomb on me and my wife last night.

They want to give us their house and property. They are getting old and want to downsize and my Dad doesn’t know how many more years he can maintain the property.

It’s a beautiful property (50 acres) with a pond, a 2 story house, a pool, a pool house, a wood shop, and another shop.

It feels like something we need/have to do, but it would be a significant trajectory change in our lives.

Of course, the drama might come today when they tell my brother and sister the plans.

Will they give them equivalent cash/other property?

hy you calling her trash for drinking and enjoying the holiday when you just said you plan on being drunk yourself tomorrow? Drinking is drinking.

Well she is trashy because she is a whore. She is responsible for two minors (ex-husband not here) and should not be drunk at noon. SIL ended up passed out drunk and graciously volunteered to pay for the pizzas for everyone.

Today is definitely going to be drama. Not sure I will share all that stuff but my wife has reached the boiling point with her sister.

My MIL passed away suddendly, earlier this year. It was a big shock to our family and this will be the first Thanksgiving without her. It will be just my wife, me, FIL and BIL for dinner at my inlaw's home. My MIL was actually a really good lady and she and I got along well. Holidays at her home ran, understandbly, under her rules since it was in her home and required traditions that couldn't be altered. The quirkiest rule she had was she would let us have the Thanksgiving football games on TV but she wanted the sound off, all day, whether we were eating or not. So, for the past 33 years I've been part of the family, we read the closed captions to know what the play by play announcers were saying. It got interesting to figure out what was going on after controversial calls. LOL Now that she's gone, my wife decided to break some of her mom's traditions. This year we'll have turkey & sausage gumbo I made and we'll forgo all the other foods, rolls and multiple desserts that were required for previous Thanksgiving dinners. We'll also have just one pecan pie and... drumroll... we'll turn the sound on for all the Thanksgiving football games to begin a new tradition. Happy Thanksgiving.
