Why would we seek assurance that we don't get help from Russia in defeating our enemy?
And isn't it ironic that three decades ago it was Russia who did't want us helping Afghanistan defeat them?

Do the math on the program costs for the F22 and F35. You'll find we could pay what is coded as 'personnel' costs for 500,000 strong Army for 20 years. Neither of those aircraft have ever done anything and they may not ever do anything as both over promise and under deliver.
