I think OP meant when someone you DON'T know personally calls you by your name.
It happens so much in my professional life I don't necessarily assume it's going to be negative.

Most friends and family don’t use your name in normal conversation in my experience.
Like your best bud probably doesn’t say ‘Hey SabiDojo’ each time yall talk, or maybe ever.

My family definitely uses my name in conversation. Yeah, they may use other names from time to time, but I get called by my first name quite often.
Except by my grandma. She has to go through every other cousin's name first before she gets mine. So, I normally get called 3 or 4 other names before she calls me by my name...lmao!
