Anybody else have the talking GI Joe? I got one around 1970. When you pulled his dog tag, he would say one of about eight or ten phrases. The only one I remember is "G I Joe, US Army, reporting for duty". Anybody remember what else he said?

That was the first GI Joe I ever got (probably 67 or so). You can purchase reproduction versions on eBay for under $100.

Batmobile based on the 90's animated series.

It had the batwing which could be removed.

Always wanted the Megazord to go along with it.

HI!!!

Well clearly, 30+ years later, I am still jealous.

Maybe buying one would resolve some hidden childhood insecurity.

ETA: Some evil genius with a lot of spare time built a 3 3/4 Scale Custom USS Flagg.

I had three toys when I was young that I absolutely will never forget

Hot Wheels Sizzlers race track.... You charged the cars up and let them roll

U Fly It aircraft carrier. Was styrofoam and you launched the plays up a string. them came back and landed on the carrier. Sorta

Cox .049 Trainer Airplane.. Best toy ever..... Almost lost my fingers about 100 times starting it but it was worth it

During the depression, Marklin made a huge metal toy submarine (four feet long) that came with a die cast full crew. I couldn't find a photo - know of one that some train collector has placed behind his layout. Incredible, cannot imagine what it would be worth.

Other rich kid depression and earlier era toys:

Marklin Providence paddle boat:

Clockwork battleship by Marklin:

1912, 3 1/2 foot Marklin toy Lusitania (and they had one that was even larger)

Marklin toy clockwork submarine, had an airtight latch to insert the key to wind it up

I think all of these used to be owned by Malcolm Forbes.

Marklin 1904 Cafe railroad station:

If you had $350 you could have bought this during the depression (two known examples survive, one of which was bought by a butcher in NY)

I had that Hulk stretch doll. I remember we had to send it back twice because it kept leaking

I am exactly mid-40's(45) and had all of those also. I had that nerf hoop until high school. Me and my friends would beat the shite out of each other playing with that thing. We broke like 3 or 4 of them.

That batmobile was the shite. TAS is still the best generation of Batman - best show, best toys, best Joker.
