Isn't that well into outer space?
Yes. Space is generally considered to start at about 100 miles because that's roughly the altitude at which an airplane would have to fly at orbital velocities to generate enough lift to stay up.
The ISS orbits at about 250 mi. ICBMs go WAY higher than you'd imagine.

No. Because they are a buffer between us and their border.

They were so eager to say he "drew a red line" when he never did because they wanted to make him look as feckless as Obama. So on one hand, they're trying to make him look weak so Obama doesn't look so bad in retrospect, but they're also trying to make him look like the aggressor that's escalating the situation. Many pundits have essentially sided with NK just to make Trump look bad. It's completely pathetic.
Jesus Christ. Some of the hoops people jump through to defend a retard
Anyway, our missile defense systems aren't as stellar as we'd like to think they are. I'm not even sure this thing was up in the air long enough for us to be able to hit it.
Whatever.

Can we at least give him a ticket for littering?

I know USAF has tested Raytheon's CHAMP EMP missle.
Maybe we should sneak a couple of those over Pyonyang, and then claim "wat? we dindu nuffin" when the lights go off for six months.

Can't we just mount one of these
on a few of these
and scatter them over the pacific to shoot down ICBMs or at least cause enough damage that they burn up upon re-entry?

I'm not so sure he was referring to you as the retard.

Which all this phuckery confuses me about how the powers that be govern. THE time they let a live one go, won't that be too late and millions dead? Unless they have a spy at the controls of the actual NK launch site.
This is one element that NORAD has a lot of resources on. If there is a missile launch anywhere in the world they know about it almost before the missile really starts lifting off. No matter if it is in a NK launch side, or in the middle of open ocean 1000 miles from anything.
Within a couple of minutes they can determine the target, especially for an earlier model like what NK uses.
They can see it's a Pacific shot long before it leaves NK air space.
I promise you that assholes were puckered in Command a few weeks ago when multiple missiles were launched at once (single vs multi launch is widely regarded as a distinguishing mark between test shots and war ones).
