North Carolina kids fatally shoot man abusing their mother

I hope the daughter can live her life without burden knowing what she did was necessary and saved her brother and mother. Surely traumatizing for her

When we were in High school, this middle school kid was in an abusive family. His dad always beat his mom.
He got a bat, waited until his dad was in the shower, and worked him over through the curtain.
His dad has been a model husband for 18 years since.
Learned something that day, you never know what anyone is capable of until they've been pushed too far. ETA: and some people just need an arse whipping.

That poor little girl. Bravo to her for shouldering that responsibility and taking the gun from her brother to do what needed to be done. I hope she finds peace within herself to be able to cope. This is difficult for anyone let alone a 16 year old girl.

I’m not sure. They might be very pleased with themselves. That mom needs to pick better men to hang out with though.

Horrible the children experienced it... but a great and justified ending. POS got what he deserved.
