Norm MacDonald once took a homeless bum to lunch...how does the story end?

So, I was watching an old youtube of Norm on David Letterman's show...and he told the story about how, instead of giving a bum money or food, he decided to take the bum to lunch...and the bum smells really bad...Letterman appears uneasy about the direction of the story and cuts Norm off...here is the clip:

He's now his co-host on Norm MacDonald Live. And you left out the part about finding the bum giving handjobs under the Brooklyn Bridge for $15 a man

Norm always has had a very dry sense of humor that I like. I think the bit just kind of wandered off into the weeds a little bit and ended up not being as funny of a story as they had rehearsed.

He tells the same story on Conan in 1996 almost verbatim 
around the 5 minute mark, he gets to the "I wish I had bought him crack" and then he continues to the part you want to hear.

I think he threw some long fluorescent bulbs and the bum off of a tower. The slow motion replays were as good as you can imagine.
