Maybe this will be the one that actually gets Bitch "woke."
Nah, that fricker thinks everything is just peachy. I wish the thugs would get him instead of innocents.

Actually other than the normal summer slow down, hotel occupancy is still high. Haven't heard of any conventions cancelling anything.
The OT narrative that everyone is canceling NOLA plans just isn't happening.

Yea, that seems to be a load of shite based on occupancy rates and foot traffic around the convention center. People are still coming.

Yea, there are conventions here right now.

I was planning a trip home with my tennis team, many of which have never seen the city. 3 approached me in the past week saying they weren't comfortable going and I've begun to feel the same way. Now planning on Austin.

Thanks, Mitch. My wife and I go to New Orleans for a long weekend every July but decided against it this year because of the statues coming down and the crime. Thanks again, Mitch.
Skipping the trip to protest or legitimately worried about being robbed/killed?

What's your question, Saint?

Not like conventions are planned months and months ahead of time.. Not exactly easy or cheap to cancel a convention and start from scratch somewhere else overnight.
The convention trend over the next year or 2 is a different story.

And will likely spend time on 6th street which is the Texas version of Bourbon (including the local culture)

I've got one of those myself.

Just relaying what I heard from someone in the industry.
Not claiming to be an expert on the issue.

People have been saying this for several years now.

Every decent size city in America had someone get robbed last night. But all the hillbillies got their feelings hurt when the statues came down so now they act like NOLA is the only city with a crime problem. NOLA is still NOLA and nothing has changed except some rednecks feelings.
