NOPD just came & my walked my property

Appears one of my neighbors phoned the police. One of the cops walked past my window and scared the ever living sheet out of me. Opened the door and asked him if there was a problem...response, "please stay inside sir". Ha, ok, sure. Just pulled my sig out from underneath the bed. Lights out, blinds open. Shoot first, ask questions later?
Location: Black Pearl, Uptown, NOLA.
Edit: 4 cops, flashlights drawn, hands on sidearms. Holstered.

No. I'm twitching at every noise though. I didn't hear them come up in the cruisers, so assuming they parked around the corner and were walking the back of the house that called, which happens to meet my back/side yard.
It's usually pretty quintet around here beside the occasional drunken Tulane kids meandering down the street.

Just keep it handy and be really loud and vocal if someone comes in your home.
