Is Parish doing anything this weekend? It seems like they have been releasing every weekend for the past few weekends.
Translation?

quote:

Wookie central

Wookie (noun)- Trust funded high school drop out who discovers he/she can have a better time traveling and selling doses than contributing to society on a positive level. Typically white 20 and 30 somethings with dreadlocks and patch work clothing. Typically frequent/follow the jam band circuit tours and do not purchase tickets, rather sell overpriced IPA craft beers and under/overcooked burritos outside a show venue.

quote:

gas dealers

Gas = Nitrous Oxide administered in multi color ballons. Gas sales usually take place in the shadows of Shakdown street, easily found by following the loud hissing of gas out of the large aluminum tanks. Dealer = See "wookie" above. Additionally, a gas dealer is a bit shadier than a Wookie, usually a 40 to 50 something white male who drives a late model 4 door sedan with midwestern plates and cracked tail light. The typical gas has an extensive criminal record and his/her head is on constant swivel, trying not to steer clear of local authorities.

quote:

clan of rats.

Conflict usually occurs when a new rat, especially an adult male, appears and tries to join the colony. The newcomer's status, and sometimes its fate, is determined by the first few encounters it has with the colony residents. Fights that occur are seldom intense or bloody.

Howlin Wolf = Wookie central. I forgot about the gas dealers. They are like a clan of rats.

Anyway, ditched the line around 9pm after a 2 hour wait. Appeared another 200 people on the opposite side WITH tickets still weren't gaining admission. Hopefully it will be a good show for everyone.

Someone please send report. Thanks.

AubieALUMdvm, do you find the raffia get pretty nasty about 1/2 way through the season? I don't store the boat inside, so it gets fairly wet.

I visited Academy here in New Orleans but didn't see any fast grass yet. Where does everyone buy their fast gras for dressing out duck boats? Online?

Anyone see any screaming deals they want to share? TIA
Tap011, thanks!

Ecb, :doublebird: freek off douchbag. This isn't the O-T.

Louisiana buying a boat in Alabama

Posted by Dennis McGee on 9/28/17 at 8:04 pm
I'm from Louisiana. I'm going to buy a boat (17' fiberglass w/ 90hp) from a dealership in Alabama this weekend. What do I need to know? Anyone previously had a similar situation? I understand that there is a 2% state sales tax...no tile required on boat, i think. Please, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Teal season 2017

I saw the nola .com blurb that it appears La is in for a nice duck '17/'18 season.

How'd everyone do last year with the teal and when do they start showing up? I think we are just about 1 month out. Cheers!

clarification: not to pass out to women exclusively. dang, you guys are harsh.

personal business cards

Posted by Dennis McGee on 6/12/17 at 12:14 am
Do any of you single baws rock personal business cards outside of your day job biz cards? I am thinking about getting some made; name, addy/po box, and email. Thoughts? Is this ridiculous? Totally Normal? My work phone is on my work card, but wanted something to pass out. I'm a single guy, mid thirties.

If so, any good companies in nola where I can get this done? TIA
it's already too late for some..

confirmed. immediately after mitchies $2.5k/per head fundraising party this eve at
Carville's casa. Adios JD. Nice knowing you.

Agreed. Hairy armpits & communist attitudes...not to change the subject. I like changing my diet up and doing a cleanse here and there.

Whomever noted sugar is most probably the culprit. But got-dang, I would process/metabolize a 24 pack of bud heavies and a large pep pizza every Saturday night until 35 years old.

Overweight vegetarians?

Posted by Dennis McGee on 5/10/17 at 8:46 pm
I work with a guy who claims to be a vegetarian. The guy is slightly overweight, yet fairly young, roughly 24 years old. How is possible? Just curious if anyone has encountered this.

I assume that if you are crazy enough to eliminate animal flesh from your diet, you would presumably be leading a healthy lifestyle...healthy enough to stay fit and trim?

EDIT---MODs, why is this thread anchored?
