Explain why these teenagers can get arrested again and again and not face any penalty?

So sad the cop shot at that child. A mother shouldn’t have to worry about her son getting shot just because he stole a car and tried to run over a cop.

If any of these scum are killed there will be family members screaming hysterically. "He was a good boy!" "The police set him up".
Don’t forget the self hating white people “all they did was break in a car they didn’t deserve to get shot!”

Pretty sure this didn’t address juvenile crimes it was only adults. The issue is with the juvenile courts in New Orleans.

neither one was the driver who tried to run over the cop. these two are charged with simple burglary & accessory to assault

Yet they are being charged as principal to aggravated assault on a police officer?

In the article the police spokesperson says how one of them has been arrested multiple times, and one of the arrests was for an armed robbery. These are the types of offenders who should get serious prison time. They have proven that they will never be productive law abiding citizens. Probably time to decriminalize marijuana and free up a lot of jail space for career violent criminals and put them away for decades at a time.

Dunno. I’m not a criminal attorney. But Wikipedia tells me principal to a crime is different than an accessory.
Under criminal law, a principal is any actor who is primarily responsible for a criminal offense. Such an actor is distinguished from others who may also be subject to criminal liability as accomplices, accessories or conspirators.

Principal means nothing with regard to sentence (or culpability).
Also, because of how screwed up the Legislature's raise the age bill is, the burglaries will be tried at juvenile court as juvenile offenses. Only the crime of violence will be tried at criminal court.
Starting July 1, all offenses by 17 year olds will go to juvenile, with the exception being the few select offenses that the DA can charge as adult offenses via indictment. Aggravated assault upon a police officer is not one of those offenses, so had this happened July 1 or after, all of this would be in juvenile court.
Get ready.

Isn’t this in Jefferson Parish? I thought Harry taught his boys better than that. His profiling kept a lot of crime out of that area.
