Incorrect. I know somebody who planted the official city flag of fricking Springfield Missouri. Darby Allin planted an AEW flag.

So you have verification that they left the flag on the mountain?
Also, it's very common for people to bring their personal flags up there for photos. It's not common to be hanging flags on the side of El Captain.

I'd be pissed if I spent thousands on flight, hotel, and transportation to go see an iconic protected American landscape and a huge flag of any kind was ruining the view.
