I use the shite out of it. I occasionally use Amazon Prime Video to watch some HBO shows and I can't wait to watch The Man in High Castle. That said I use Netflix at about a 15:1 ratio more than Prime Video. I don't use Prime Music. I do use the frick out of subscribe and save (I have about 20 household items that are on my subscription list: toilet paper, paper towels, body wash, toothpaste, etc.), but I'm not sure if that's part of Prime or not.

Anytime I think about something I am going to need but don't need immediately i pullout my phone and order it. From RainX to Levi's jeans to gifts for nieces and nephews to a new modem.

Last week my hot water heater went out and if it were an option to order it off of Amazon I would have.

I buy almost everything on Amazon - particularly if I know exactly what I want. I've gotten deliveries the next day on a good portion (about 1/3) of my purchases, if made early enough in the day. If they take longer than they say, call them and complain and you get a free month of Prime for example.

Occasionally you'll find something cheaper, even with its non-Prime shipping costs, but you'll rarely get it in 2 or 3 days if that is the case.

I've had such good luck with Amazon, I've rarely had to return anything and cannot recall the last time I did. I initially got Prime to use the streaming video service, but it was almost a year before I started using it heavily. I got it one year right around Christmas shopping season (roughly now, in terms of the year's progress) - and I had already been a fairly heavy Amazon customer, but when I did the Christmas shopping that year in about 20 minutes - I have been a convert ever since. Prior to Prime, I was a "bundler" - saving up small purchases until I could take advantage of their free shipping (used to be $25) - since Prime, I don't have to worry about any of that, effectively eliminating many trips to Wal-Mart, Sam's, Best Buy, etc. - and more than pays for itself purely in convenience, time saved and gasoline costs avoided.

Thanks. I am in LOVE with HULU+. I kick myself for just getting it two months ago. Didn't realize it had damned near everything on TV. Commercials are short and sweet too. Undervalued for $8/month. No need for DVR for shite.

I've watched the shite out of TOSH, Blackish, Fresh Off the Boat, Forensic Files, Nightmare Nextdoor, Southpark, Empire, etc.

There is some overlap, but also some exclusive things.

Another positive thing about Amazon for those who like to buy/own - if you buy the streaming version from Amazon (as opposed to the stuff you're watching free on Prime, or rent) - then you have it - it goes with you from device to device, and stays with your Amazon account. They also have a free e-book checkout program for Prime members.

Thanks for feed back. I'm going to hold off a while. My parents' cable creds get me all the HBO/Showtime/Epix/WatchEspn stuff. And Netflix still appeals to my kids and I'm a huge Narcos fan and my gf Orange is Black. Agree on the original content.

And For those of you who may not realize it but EBR(i'm sure other cities do as well) has a huge online ebook library. You just put the Overdrive App on your device and have your Liberry card handy. It's a clunky app for searching but the technology is pretty damned sweet. You essentially borrow books the same way you check out books from the real liberry.

Lots of Christmas purchases will easily make up for the prime fee. I buy almost all my Xmas gifts on Amazon.

I've never used it so I wouldn't know. Still something for free

I search for everything on Amazon, and there's a handy app called Amazon Price Check, where you can scan a bar code and it will search Amazon and give you the best price they can find.
