Not really... she can't answer phones (bc of her lisp) or greet customers (bc of her face) or most of the other things that secretaries do.

Supposedly there is also an odor. Happy French Quarter Fest Ya'll.
I was just down there for my lunch break....there's definitely an odor. I couldn't quite pinpoint what it was though.

Or the ship could have accidentally pumped it overboard

I'm told that's not the case here. Supposedly a ship was coming in hot and busted open the fuel tank on the wharf. That's second or third hand info though, so take it FWIW

I can confirm firsthand that the odor has not driven away the ladies attending the festival from the riverfront.

good, maybe the diesel smell will block out the natural odor of the FQ.

Now th responsible party will end up paying legions of temp workers to scrub the river banks with toothbrushes.

Diesel wont last long in the MR. Current is strong right now and water level is up.
I'd imagine there is far worse shite at higher concentration levels floating around. Diesel probably will be dissolved by all the fertilizer and other shite (literally) running in the river.

Some will, but bacteria in the water and soil will break it down

Was the Coast Guard confirmation of a collision not satisfactory for you?

The Coast Guard confirmed a vessel crashed into a pier near Nashville Wharf along the Mississippi River late Thursday morning (April 12).
