Don't get me wrong, I love New Orleans. Parts of it are beautiful and interesting. But if it weren't for the tourist industry the city wouldn't have a whole lot going for it. The money problems that the city is facing is mostly due to the fact that they have more takers than producers.

I wonder how long it will take all the premium lots to up their prices. Several of them are only about $30 a day. Seems like a much better deal than a $75 fine for not running back to pay your meter in time or the $6 every two hours on the street.

If I were to get a parking ticket on a vehicle, then sell the vehicle and take the plate off (personalized plate not going on another vehicle) what would be the repercussions of not paying the ticket?

Nope, I just don't park on the street in Orleans Parish before 10pm. Well, after paying the $200 to get the boot off once. I have parking contract now for $60 right outside the Quarter now.
