This is the perfect time for one of those mayoral candidates to make a move. It appears like it's gonna be a tight race. Someone needs to throw their campaign strategy aside and run completely on fixing the streets/pumps. A poster on here actually said that a while back.

Those idiots couldn't make a PB&J, let alone fix any of the problems in New Orleans

There's has been a leak issue at that manhole joint since I moved into the neighborhood two years ago. During that time the retainer wall has been getting worse and worse. It now looks like a concrete slab is going to break away from the wall into the street. Complicating matters is the fact that traffic going under that train trestle has increased exponentially in the last two months when the city shut down the Canal Blvd/ City Park Ave intersection to re-do the streetcar turnaround.

What is sad is people dont even pay attention to said sign
What's sad is that the sign says the water is 2' deep, but it's up to the side view mirror on that car. That's more than two feet of water in the street.
You'd like to think that even the average city worker would be smart enough to measure from street level, rather than the top of the median, when mounting the depth gauge. But, in New Orleans, apparently not.

Pro tip, run your intake into the cab. It's a little loud, but last august water was over my hood on state street by Louie's.

Mayoral Candidate Troy Henry has stated that he has experience working on boards fixing failed water systems for various cities in the region.

That's the truly insane part of it. There's a leak in the drainage system at the absolute worst place on the street and they still refuse to fix it.

Wait, there's a second Mackel down there? Can one city contain double douche domination?
